Introduction

CA ARCserve Backup delivers reliable, enterprise-class data protection across multiple hardware and software platforms. Its proven technology, unified by a single, easy-to-use interface.

CA ARCserve Backup supports distributed servers in multiple environments, including Windows, Linux, UNIX and NetWare, with new functionality for VMware ESX Server. Application support extends to key Microsoft products (Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Express, SQL Server, VSS), IBM (Lotus Notes), SAP, Sybase, Informix and others.

In February 2008, CA has announced CA ARCserve Backup r12, which supports Windows as backup server. The latest version for other platforms is 11.5 SP3.

Disk Staging Backup (D2D2T) - D2D2T shrinks backup time by allowing backup data to be staged to fast disk drives before it is automatically moved to tape.
